Observation is the first and most essential step of the Inductive Bible Study method. In this lesson, you’ll learn how to slow down and carefully examine a passage of Scripture, looking at what is actually there without jumping to conclusions. Observation builds a strong foundation for correct interpretation and powerful application.

Now that you've mastered observation, it’s time to move to the next step of the Inductive Bible Study method—Interpretation. In this lesson, we’ll learn how to understand the meaning of a passage as the original author intended, rooted in its context and guided by sound biblical principles. The goal is not to ask, “What does this mean to me?” but rather, “What did God mean when He inspired this?”
